Planetary Pig render

Here's a quick render of a test I did for a short I am trying to make starring Planetary Pig. His boss, The Chief is chewing him out for not delivering a package. You can see a quick test render here. Please note that the file is 14 mb in size so it will take a while to download if you are not on Broadband.

The 2006 Ribeye Calendar

Finally a calendar that's so cool, even a mighty Bullbarian warrior and his eight-year-old kid brother would approve! Check it out! Click the image above to grab yourself a copy and you'll be ready to make 2006 the "Year of the Bull". (Okay, okay, so actually 2006 is the "year of the dog" but it's still set to be an unforgettaBULL year!)

and Cosmo too!

Here's Cosmo, Planetary Pig's best buddy. Just waiting for Harry to help me write something for it and we'll do a short! Cosmo's ready to be rigged so it won't be long now... I think I am going to use these models for the cover of my first book Planetary Pig and the Space Pirates.

Planetary Pig in 3D!

Check this out! It's Planetary Pig in 3d! You will need to open it with Quicktime.

Back after these messages...

Currently I'm busy with my work and writing schedule, as well as doing some freelance commercial work.

I'm Directing an animated intro spot for a small entertainment company here in Los Angeles. A group of animators are doing the logo animation using Maya. I'm overseeing the animation and making sure it’s what the client wants, though I'm certainly no expert with Maya. Mike Milo will probably tweak the animation in Maya for us so we get exactly what we want.

Also I'm doing a spot for a friend's camera equipment company, called Hi-Pod. We filmed a model using the Hi-Pod camera monopod that is featured in the ad in a series of photo shoots in Hollywood last week. Currently I'm animating the 30 second spot by manipulating the digital still frames one by one, 30 frames per second. Below is a frame showing what the spot will look like- sort of a stylized highlight of the product with the model a bit subdued.

Ribeye in 3D- the old fashioned way

If you have a standard pair of 3D glasses laying around (hey, doesn't everyone?) check out the above image of Ribeye the Bullbarian in glorious 3D. I created this image in Photoshop, just playing around with the idea of creating 3D images for print. The results actually worked out pretty good.
